And the winners are...

Sportlich, familiär und rachsüchtig ging es in diesem Jahr beim Kürzestfilmwettbewerb 5-10-20 der Hochschule Luzern zu. Zudem verzeichnete man einen Teilnehmerrekord: Eingereicht wurden 326 Filme von Profi- und Hobby-Filmemachern, darunter auch aus Indien, Neuseeland, Grossbritannien und Russland. Die Preisträger 2009 sind:

Kategorie 5 Sekunden:

1. Platz: «Basketball», Carlo-Roman Picaso (Luzern/CH)
Jury-Begründung: Idee von der „einmaligen Chance im Leben“ wurde witzig und treffend erzählt.

2. Platz: «Football Love», Roger Sütterlin (Ruswil/CH)
Jury-Begründung: Reizvoll und sympathisch. Hochwertige Inszenierung und sehr guter Schnitt.

3. Platz: «Alles per USB», Adrian Usler und Adelheid Wagner-Usler (Dortmund/D)
Jury-Begründung: Charmanter, ironischer „Bastelgroove“. Direktes Ansprechen des Passanten.

Kategorie 10 Sekunden:

1. Platz: «Alles in Butter?!?», Karin Willimann (Luzern/CH)
Jury-Begründung: Einfach und gut – eben wie Butter. Starke Idee, die sehr plakativ und schön umgesetzt wurde.

2. Platz: «Halbdichtheiten_2», Ralph Kuehne, Sophie Hofer und Mathias Moos (Luzern/CH)
Jury-Begründung: Sehr ästhetische und künstlerische Performance mit witziger Pointe.

3. Platz: «Grüner Punkt», Yves Durrer (Bolligen/CH)
Jury-Begründung: Gelungene, bildliche Umsetzung, die sehr gut auf grossem Display funktioniert.

Kategorie 20 Sekunden:

1. Platz: «Die Rache», Simon Renfer (Bern/CH)
Jury-Begründung: Technisch gelungene Umsetzung einer faszinierenden Idee über Manipulation. Geschichte wird in einem visuellen Flow erzählt.

2. Platz: «Family Tree», Barbara Brunner (Bern/CH)
Jury-Begründung: Eine klare Geschichte wurde in augenschmeichlerischer, bunter Form erzählt und mit einem schönen Schlusspunkt beendet. Für Medium „Display“ hervorragend geeignet.

3. Platz: «Dialogue», Svenja Kübler (Köln/D)
Jury-Begründung: Liebevolle typografische Animation mit vielen Feinheiten. Elegante Reduzierung aufs Minimum.

Lobende Erwähnung:

20-Sekünder «Bewegung am Rande» von Lukas Moor (Olten/CH)
Jury-Begründung: Witziger Einstieg und spannende Wiedergabe vom Weg des „Loslösens“.

Award ceremony on the 21st of October

The award ceremony will take place on the 21st of October at 18.00 in the chapel of the University of Art and Design, Rössligasse 12, CH-6003  Lucerne. All participants are invited! Peter Beck, the president of the Swissfilms Association, will give a short presentation on drama in short film formats.

Additionally a conference concerning "Inside-Out-of-Home-Displays" will be held - for more information visit http://www.hslu.ch/ikm.

The nominations are decided!

The Jury has decided. 12 films per category of the over 300 entered submission are nominated. You can view the selected films under "Nominated". Additionally the nominees will be screened on the eBoards at all major train stations in Switzerland, as well as the Adscreens in Swiss Post offices and the Infoscreens in Austrian Subway and train stations.
